Clinical

He is very well educated and trained as a 1st grade abdominal solid organ transplant surgeon and as HPB minimal invasive surgeon. Technically, he is very good including minimal invasive surgery. He has served on UNOS Kid / Pancreas committee in past and he understands UNOS / CMS requirements including quality and transplant outcomes. Additionally, he is engaged in all phases of transplantation (Pre-Evaluation, Transplant Listing, then transplantation phase, which is followed by extended period of follow up). Beside his technical abilities, he has a wealth of fund of knowledge about Immunosuppression and how to diagnose and address post-transplant complications. Also, he is trained in area of complex minimal invasive HPB Surgery. The downstream revenues from these services are very impressive. I believe he will increase center volume with excellent quality and outcome of both patient and transplanted organs. He has done it before, and I am very confident he will do it again. Provided department will support him.
